Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Rhode Island Special Education teaching license, mild-moderate or severe
- Previous experience with developmental disabilities preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students with developmental disabilities in a classroom setting for grades 3-4
- Develop and modify lesson plans to meet each student’s unique needs and learning goals
- Collaborate with classroom aides in a 1:3 ratio to foster a positive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress; adapt strategies as needed
- Participate in training sessions and implement best practices as provided by the school
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and educational teams
This contract position averages 37.5 hours per week throughout the 26/27 school year, with a single school assignment—offering stability and the ability to build strong student relationships.
