Special Education Teacher in Washington, DC

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Virginia or Maryland certifications are eligible for DC reciprocity: https://osse.dc.gov/ed-credentials)
- Experience teaching or supporting students at the middle school level (6th grade preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Comfort with a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, growth-oriented classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction for 6th grade students with IEPs

- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
