Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary case manager for approximately 45 high school students across two grades in a virtual setting.
- Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations, maintaining compliance with all timelines and requirements.
- Write, update, and track individualized education plans, ensuring instructional accommodations and modifications are implemented properly.
- Maintain ongoing weekly communication with staff and families, proactively discussing student progress, goals, and concerns.
- Analyze academic and behavioral data to facilitate informed decisions and drive student-centered IEP development.
- Work closely and collaboratively with core teachers, service providers, and related staff to support diverse student needs.
- Support the school’s mission to ensure equitable, individualized education for all students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont Special Educator license (VT DOE SPED requirements)
- Extensive experience in case management, IEP development, and compliance in a virtual setting
- Two supervisor references from previous virtual special education roles
- Proven organizational skills and strong written/verbal communication abilities
- Previous work as a Vermont-based virtual SPED case manager is required
- Capacity to collaborate reliably in a remote, detail-focused environment
