Required Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Strongly prefer candidates with autism endorsement or substantial experience working with autistic students
- Previous special education teaching experience in a self-contained environment
- Passion for working with 2nd–3rd grade students
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction in a self-contained classroom specializing in autism support
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Track student progress and adapt strategies as needed
- Maintain compliance with state and district special education standards
