Special Education Teacher in West Chester, PA

Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting students at the elementary, middle, or high school level. You’ll work in a collaborative and supportive onsite environment, helping students achieve success and reach their fullest potential. Multiple full-time openings are available, with positions tailored to different grade levels.
Available Opportunities & Hours:
- 1 Elementary School: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 1 Middle School: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM (final schedule TBD)
- 2 High School: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
All positions are on a 35-hour work week, starting August 24, 2026, and ending June 10, 2027.
What You Bring:
- Demonstrated mastery of special education content, instructional strategies, and relevant resources
- PA teaching certification/licensure for assigned caseload or a bachelor’s degree for emergency permit eligibility
- Prior experience in a school setting, with urban school experience preferred
- Strong classroom and behavior management capability
- Ability to design lesson plans aligning with state and district standards, employing differentiation and formative assessments
- Comfortable working onsite without schedule accommodation
- Reliable transportation and readiness to complete all necessary PA clearances
- Confidence and adaptability within an urban educational community
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lessons aligned with student needs and curriculum
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom culture focused on growth and achievement
- Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and support staff to optimize student success
- Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain clear and positive communication with stakeholders
