These are full-time, onsite contract positions running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours. With five openings across elementary and middle schools, this is a great chance to bring your expertise and passion to a supportive educational environment.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Active certification or licensure for the appropriate special education caseload
- Bachelor’s degree required (necessary for emergency teaching permit eligibility)
- Previous experience in school environments, with familiarity guiding students in urban settings
- Mastery of subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials relevant to special education
- Ability to develop and implement lesson plans aligned with current standards, using formative assessments and differentiated instruction
- Demonstrated skills in classroom and behavioral management
- Comfortable collaborating within district policies and adapting to the location’s needs
- Reliable transportation for punctuality and attendance
- Availability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM (no schedule accommodations)
- Completion of all required PA state clearances
In this role, you'll support student growth, foster inclusive learning, and partner closely with school staff. Responsibilities include individualized instruction, progress monitoring, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams.
