Special Education Teacher - West Hartford, Connecticut

Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher endorsement or eligibility to obtain DSAP.
- Prior experience working with middle school students preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and individualized support to students with special needs in a middle school environment.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to student goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure holistic support.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of supportive educational plans.
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom community.
