Your expertise will serve children in need of specialized academic support, including those with multiple disabilities, in a variety of instructional settings. You’ll facilitate instruction in resource rooms, guide small group sessions, and support inclusion in general education classrooms.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
- Proven ability to write and implement IEPs.
- Comfortable supporting students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Experience collaborating with colleagues, paraeducators, and related service providers.
- Understanding of various instructional models to meet IEP goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to kindergarten students in accordance with IEP goals.
- Adapt learning materials and modify curriculum for accessible, meaningful participation.
- Work closely with general educators, related service personnel, and families for inclusive student support.
- Document student progress, write and update IEPs, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.
