Special Education Teacher | Westerville, Ohio

This contract role begins August 3, 2026, and runs through June 25, 2027, providing the chance to shape the lives of students ages 15–21 within a supportive, dynamic environment. The school’s unique approach combines a flexible, self-paced curriculum with hands-on career and technical education, setting students on the path to graduation and meaningful careers.
As a key member of the team, you will deliver individualized instruction, support social-emotional growth, and creatively adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs—all within a full-time workweek of 40 hours. Utilize your expertise to give every student the tools and confidence they need to achieve a high school diploma and transition successfully to the workforce.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Ohio teaching certification for Special Education.
- Classroom experience working with students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students from various socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with general educators, staff, and families to ensure student progress.
- Deliver engaging lessons that accommodate varying learning styles.
- Guide students toward personal and academic goals, fostering resilience and self-advocacy.
- Track, assess, and document student progress in accordance with school policies and state requirements.
