Special Education Teacher | Westford, Massachusetts

Responsibilities include:
- Providing instruction and individualized support to high school students in a collaborative, inclusive setting
- Serving as an advisor and leading an advisory class, building strong relationships with students and guiding them through key academic and personal milestones
- Delivering dedicated academic support for four periods each day, helping students navigate curriculum and reach their potential
- Collaborating with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining records, and adapting strategies as needed to support diverse learners
- Cultivating a supportive, respectful environment that champions equity and inclusion for all students
Desired qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for secondary grades or eligibility for state licensure
- Experience working with high school students in an inclusive or resource setting
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and manage a caseload of students with varying needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organizational skills to balance advisory responsibilities with direct support and documentation
