Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching certification
- Experience in elementary-level classrooms or demonstrated interest working with young learners
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs
- Familiarity with resource room and/or extended setting instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting teaching strategies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support to students individually or in small groups
- Develop, update, and manage IEPs in accordance with state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and school support staff
- Monitor and assess students’ progress towards goals
- Cultivate a positive, supportive learning atmosphere
- Participate in parent meetings, team planning, and professional development activities
