Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Demonstrated experience working with students with a variety of exceptionalities
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborative approach when working with parents, staff, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs
- Create, update, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize a variety of evidence-based strategies to support student learning and engagement
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom setting
- Communicate consistently with families and other team members regarding student goals and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
