Special Education Teacher - Torrance, California

As an Inclusion Specialist, you will work 1:1 and in small groups to help implement curriculum modifications and accommodations tailored to individual student needs. You’ll collaborate closely with educators to ensure students are fully supported, both academically and socially, in inclusive settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credential
- Experience working with students in K-12 settings, preferably in inclusive classrooms
- Strong understanding of curriculum modification and differentiation strategies
- Demonstrated ability to provide individualized support and adjust approaches as needed
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education services as an itinerant educator to students in K-8 and 9th/10th grade classrooms
- Modify and adapt instructional materials to align with student IEP goals
- Provide 1:1 assistance and small group support for students needing additional academic or behavioral help
- Partner with general education teachers to plan, implement, and monitor inclusive practices
- Track student progress and document instructional interventions
