In this role, you will:
- Serve 2 students at a downtown K-8 campus, providing individualized support and inclusion services
- Support 4 students split between high school (9th and 10th grades) and elementary (8th and 4th grades) settings
- Adapt and implement curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Deliver one-on-one guidance and assistance for students requiring extra help
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive classroom practices
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification or license
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in inclusive or integrated settings
- Strong ability to modify curriculum and deliver differentiated instruction
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant educator
