Special Education Teacher - Andover, MN

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 and 2 accepted; preference for Tier 3 or 4)
- Experience or strong interest in one or more of the following: special education assessments, ASD programs, emotional/behavioral disorders, therapeutic or Setting III/IV classrooms, elementary special education settings, and behavior management
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Committed to fostering inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough special education evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver specially designed instruction and behavioral interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for compliance and effectiveness
- Collaborate actively with general education staff, service providers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and regular professional development
