Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Proven ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with families, staff, and service providers
- Commitment to inclusive practices and evidence-based instructional strategies
- Ability to manage a dynamic resource caseload efficiently and compassionately
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction in alignment with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with general education teachers to support students within both resource and mainstream environments
- Tracking and reporting progress toward IEP goals, maintaining thorough documentation
- Actively participating in IEP meetings, providing input on student needs and programming
- Utilizing effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Engaging families and caregivers as partners in their child's educational journey
This full-time position requires onsite presence Monday through Friday, with approximately 37.5 hours per week, starting late August 2026 and concluding mid-June 2027.
