Open Positions & Focus Areas:
- Special Education Assessment: Conduct evaluations, guide eligibility determinations, collaborate with education teams, and contribute to IEP development and compliance.
- Setting III/IV Restore Program: Support high school students in a therapeutic context, utilizing strategies for significant behavioral, emotional, and academic needs.
- Elementary ASD Center-Based: Work within a center-based, structured environment providing individualized instruction for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in special education assessment, IEP development, and case management
- Knowledge of techniques for behavior management, trauma-informed practices, and structured teaching environments
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Experience with Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, crisis prevention, and supporting students in a variety of learning settings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 or 2 accepted; Tiers 3 or 4 preferred)
- Preferred licensure in ABS, ASD, EBD, DD, or LD
- Candidates must be licensed in Minnesota (virtual-only candidates are not eligible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Deliver specialized instruction and monitor student progress
- Maintain compliance with state and district special education regulations
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with school staff
