Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4).
- Previous experience working with resource and RISE programs preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset for working with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials for diverse learning needs.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction, intervention, and support for students in special programs at various age levels.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage classrooms and caseloads in alignment with school and district expectations.
- Apply evidence-based strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives as required.
Details:
- Eight positions available, serving different grade levels.
- Three roles specifically at Sanburg Middle School (two resource, one RISE).
- On-site only; virtual instruction is not an option.
- Contract dates: August 24, 2026 – May 28, 2027.
- Full-time; 35 hours per week.
