Special Education Teacher | Anoka, Minnesota

This contract opportunity starts September 8, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. Multiple positions are available working with a variety of caseloads spanning Center Based ASD/DCD, Center Based SEL, and Resource settings across several elementary schools.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher (general education, paraprofessional, or substitute teaching experience does not count)
- Must hold a valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education license in one or more of the following:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)
- Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
- Academic Behavior Strategist (ABS)
- Endorsement requirements vary by setting:
- Center Based ASD/DCD: ASD or DCD license required
- Center Based SEL: EBD, ASD, or DCD accepted
- Resource: ABS, EBD, ASD, or DCD accepted
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with families, staff, and support teams to foster student growth and engagement
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Implement evidence-based strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom culture
