These roles focus on supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, and Emotional Behavioral Disorders, in innovative center-based environments emphasizing behavior strategies and collaborative teaching.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching Credential with one or more of the following:
- Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
- Special Education: Early Childhood
- Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Special Education: Learning Disabilities
- Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (ABS not required, but valid for this role)
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
- Strong instructional, classroom structure, and routine management skills
- Experience collaborating with general education and special education colleagues
- Ability to direct and coordinate with paraprofessionals
- Excellent record of attendance and professional reliability
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource teacher for middle school programs, including coverage for FMLA leave (Aug 24–Nov 9)
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support in ASD and DCD center-based programs at both elementary and middle school levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Engage parents and guardians in students’ educational progress and behavioral goals
