Key Qualifications:
- Valid SPED license with Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement.
- Experience delivering services to K-12 students with a range of physical and health impairments.
- Strong background in due process management, including IEP development and functional evaluations.
- Proficiency providing classroom consultations on curriculum modification, accessibility, and assistive technology.
- Collaborative skills to partner with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and general education teachers.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities.
- Commitment to onsite, in-person support during the school year.
Major Responsibilities:
- Serve as an itinerant teacher of the physically impaired, supporting accessibility and instructional equity across assigned schools.
- Consult with teams about curriculum adaptation, classroom access, and effective use of assistive tech.
- Conduct functional student evaluations and manage due process, including creating and monitoring IEPs.
- Track and document student progress, providing timely updates and recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in meetings as required.
- Provide educator and staff coaching to build capacity for serving students with physical and health needs.
