Positions include:
- Special Education Assessment Teacher (district wide): Lead comprehensive evaluations, participate in eligibility determinations, provide expert input for IEP development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Special Education Teacher, Setting III/IV (Restore Program – High School): Support students in a therapeutic environment, implement individualized academic and behavioral interventions, utilize crisis prevention and trauma-informed practices.
- Elementary ASD Center-Based Special Education Teacher (Cedar Creek Elementary): Deliver meaningful instruction to center-based ASD students, individualize IEPs, implement structured teaching strategies, and foster skill development.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 & 2 accepted, preference for Tier 3 & 4)
- Experience in areas such as ASD, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or developmental disabilities strongly valued
- Demonstrated skill in IEP development, case management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Proven ability to employ positive behavior interventions, evaluation planning, and progress monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation, data, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and family consultations
- Create inclusive, supportive classroom environments that encourage student growth and confidence
