Step into a vital role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Resource Teacher at a welcoming school near Anoka, MN. This contract position begins in late August 2026 and runs through early June 2027. You’ll be working on-site, providing specialized instruction and tailored educational support to elementary-aged learners in a resource setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification—Tier 3 or 4 required
- Experience working with elementary students in a resource or special education environment
- Strong ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability and creativity in addressing diverse learning needs
- Must submit a valid certification and up-to-date resume for consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with special needs in the resource setting
- Develop lesson plans that accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Evaluate student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate frequently with families regarding progress, goals, and support strategies
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities
