Special Education Teacher in Antioch, CA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) REQUIRED
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- A passion for fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support in academic and functional skills for caseloads in K–2 (10 students), 3–5 (11 students), or 6–8 (14 students)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages growth and independence
