Make an impact as an Autism Specialist, supporting students across the Ashland and Medford areas! This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for educators and specialists with a deep commitment to working with K-12 students on the autism spectrum. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll provide expertise and consultation within a 35-mile radius, including areas from Ashland to Eagle Point and Grants Pass.
Ideal candidates thrive in environments supporting a diverse range of students, from high-functioning learners in general education settings to those with significant needs in self-contained classrooms. Your expertise will drive student success and empower staff and families with evidence-based strategies and insights.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience supporting students on the autism spectrum, including a variety of grade and age levels
- Demonstrated ability to work with students with diverse presentations, both high-functioning and those with more pervasive needs
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive autism evaluations and using assessment tools to measure supports and services
- Valid Oregon licensure and certification (TSPC license required for teachers/psychologists; SLPs may be board-certified)
- BCBAs with a specialized autism focus and at least 3 years of direct experience are encouraged to apply, especially if familiar with public education and special education services

- Deliver consultative expertise to educators, staff, and families across multiple school sites
- Conduct autism evaluations and contribute to individualized program planning
- Develop and recommend strategies, resources, and supports tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student achievement and well-being
