Special Education Teacher | Auburn, California

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (Education Specialist) for Mild/Moderate needs
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a classroom or resource setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt materials to meet diverse learning styles
- Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent organization, communication, and classroom management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with mild/moderate disabilities in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop and modify curriculum materials to suit individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Work with a team of educators and specialists to create a supportive learning atmosphere
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about progress and strategies
