Key Requirements:
- Active Colorado Teacher License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (ages 5-21)
- Experience with elementary school-aged students, specifically in affective needs settings, is preferred
- Ability to promptly complete district-required credentialing and contractor packet
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to upholding inclusive practices and adapting to diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support for students with affective needs in an elementary setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instructional decisions and set appropriate goals
- Create a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment that encourages social and academic growth
- Communicate effectively with families, supporting students’ success both in and out of the classroom
- Comply with all district policies and procedures, as well as timely maintenance of required documentation
