What We’re Seeking:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with cross-categorical instruction, especially supporting students in social studies and science
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Clear communication and strong collaboration skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated social studies and science instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Modify general education curriculum as necessary to ensure student access and success
- Develop and implement IEPs, progress reports, and accommodations
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Encourage positive behaviors and academic growth through creative interventions
- Communicate regularly with families to share progress and support home-school partnership
