Qualifications:
- Valid state Special Education Teacher certification
- Proven experience teaching or supporting K-5 students, particularly in mild/moderate special education settings
- Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) process and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and demonstrate initiative
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct classroom and small-group instruction to students with mild/moderate needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with staff and families
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Participate in student evaluations, parent meetings, and multidisciplinary team sessions
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with all district and state regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student success and well-being
