Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification applicable to grades K-5
- Previous experience with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
- Strong behavioral management and classroom organization skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans)
- Compassionate communicator comfortable engaging with students, families, and staff
- Skilled at differentiating instruction and fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Familiarity with current special education legal requirements and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service personnel, and families
- Maintain accurate student documentation and progress reports
- Adapt curriculum and learning strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and professional development activities
