Special Education Teacher | Pueblo, Colorado

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for Colorado
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with mild/moderate exceptionalities
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and colleagues
- A drive to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored for each student’s unique needs, ensuring measurable growth
- Deliver engaging lessons and interventions in both individual and small group settings
- Work closely with general education teachers to support inclusive education practices
- Monitor progress, document data, and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Advocate for students and foster independence, confidence, and achievement
