Special Education Teacher - Bear, Delaware

You’ll work closely with a diverse group of 23 students, primarily teaching 8th and 12th grade English within a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Special Education certification (required prior to the school year start)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with SPED caseloads
- Proficiency or familiarity with the Infinite IEP program (preferred)
- Strong communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers in co-taught settings
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Teach 8th and 12th grade English through two co-taught classes and two small group classes daily
- Manage a dynamic caseload of 23 students, developing and implementing IEP goals tailored to individual needs
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and update IEPs in alignment with state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain regular communication with families and educational partners
- Take advantage of two scheduled prep periods each day to plan instruction and complete documentation
