Key Qualifications:
- Current, active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential—Moderate/Severe required
- Demonstrated experience teaching students with moderate/severe disabilities, preferably at the elementary level
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and data-driven instruction
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with parents, support staff, and related service providers
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and compassionate classroom culture
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in partnership with families and specialists
- Employ evidence-based strategies, adaptive technology, and accommodations to promote student engagement and independence
- Assess progress, document outcomes, and adjust supports as needed
- Create a structured, nurturing environment that encourages growth in academic, social, and behavioral skills
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences throughout the school year
