Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Certification for Kansas is required
- Experience working with middle or high school students preferred
- Ability to adapt lesson materials for diverse learning needs
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom climate
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with IEPs in either life skills or resource settings
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans
- Regularly monitor student progress and maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and school initiatives to advocate for each learner’s needs
