Special Education Teacher - Bronx, NY

Key Qualifications:
- Current New York Special Education Teacher license and certification to teach grades 1-6
- Experience in special education at the elementary level strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices and legal requirements for IEPs
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping students achieve their personal and academic goals
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate students with varying abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom culture
