Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid DPI Special Education license, authorized for High School service
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a high school setting
- Skilled in case management and supervision of students with IEPs
- Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, particularly in co-teaching settings
- Commitment to fostering an engaging, accessible, and supportive learning atmosphere
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a caseload of approximately 15 high school students with IEPs
- Act as a co-teacher in US History classes, providing targeted support to students with IEPs
- Work closely with classroom teachers to adapt lessons, assessments, and accommodations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date IEP documentation and compliance
- Communicate regularly with families and other team members regarding student progress
- Implement behavior intervention strategies as needed
- Empower students by teaching self-advocacy and organizational skills
