Key Qualifications:
- DPI Special Education certification, qualifying you to teach at the high school level.
- Prior experience or strong interest in working with students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Demonstrated ability to co-teach or collaborate effectively with general education teachers.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to inclusivity, patience, and a positive attitude.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to high school students with IEPs within US History classrooms.
- Partner with general education teachers to adapt lessons, create accessible materials, and cultivate a positive classroom environment.
- Supervise and mentor a caseload of 15 students, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to planning, and engage with families to support student success.
- Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet each student’s unique learning needs.
