Special Education Teacher - Brooklyn, New York

Desired Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, with preference for candidates experienced at the PreK level
- Valid New York State Certification in Special Education
OR Current New York State Certification Level 3 Teacher Assistant - Expertise and passion for working with PreK age children, especially within a readiness program
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and positive problem-solving attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and implement IEPs for PreK readiness program students
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth for each child
- Collaborate with related service providers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive support
- Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
