Key Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4 licensure required)
- Experience supporting diverse student needs in special education programs, including resource and/or specialized program settings
- Proven ability to adapt instructional methods and materials to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside general education staff, paraprofessionals, and specialists
- Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment for all learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and intervention for students in special education, tailored to a variety of age levels and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to design and provide individualized support
- Maintain accurate records and participate in parent meetings and staff professional development
