Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active and valid Minnesota special education teaching license required
- Experience working with elementary, middle, and/or high school students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for building positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teams
- Deliver effective special education instruction across multiple grade levels
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Facilitate inclusion by working alongside general education teachers and support staff
- Maintain open communication with families regarding student goals and development
- Uphold compliance with state and federal special education regulations
