There are two immediate openings for this academic year, offering both full-time schedules (35-40 hours per week) and the possibility for part-time candidates who can provide on-site services. The roles begin January 5 and run through the end of the school year, with a strong likelihood of extending to late May.
Current openings include:
- Position 1: Work with 27 students in a resource setting, grades 4-8, primarily with SLD and OHI eligibility.
- Position 2: Support 7 students in a self-contained classroom, grades 4-6, with SLD, OHI, and Autism eligibility.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students across elementary and middle grade levels.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of learning needs.
- Strong skills in IEP development, progress monitoring, and classroom management.
- Flexibility to work collaboratively onsite and willingness to connect with support virtually.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction individually and in small groups tailored to IEP goals.
- Develop, update, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Write progress reports and monitor student achievement regularly.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other staff.
- Manage a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to all learners’ success.
