Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience working with middle school students in a resource or inclusive setting
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices in differentiation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and fellow educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in a resource classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations
- Maintain progress records and prepare reports documenting student growth
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings and conferences
- Advocate for students and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment
