Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience providing instruction and/or behavioral support to students with exceptional needs
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varied learning needs
- Passion for fostering inclusive, positive classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction based on IEPs, ensuring progress toward academic goals
- Assess student strengths and needs, adapting lessons and interventions accordingly
- Maintain accurate records, documenting progress and collaborating with IEP teams
- Communicate regularly with families, related service providers, and administration
- Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals and instructional aides
- Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful learning atmosphere
