Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Illinois preferred)
- Experience working with K-8 students with varied learning challenges
- Strong collaboration skills for working with support staff, families, and administrators
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners
- Flexible in working within resource/support or self-contained classroom settings

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging instruction and modify curriculum to accommodate a variety of learning styles
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate regularly with fellow educators, therapists, and families to foster student success
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in professional development as needed and maintain best practices in special education
