Key Qualifications:
- Active GaPSC Special Education Certification with SPED content valid through 8th grade
- Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required (pending credentials will be considered)
- Proven experience or a true passion for working with students in functional and self-contained classrooms
- Team-focused mindset and strong communication skills for collaborating with paraprofessionals and behavioral staff
- Flexible, compassionate, and ready to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with significant needs in a functional curriculum setting
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician to create an inclusive, supportive environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track student progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and staff
- Participate in planning meetings, professional development, and pre/post planning days as needed
