Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
- Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong behavior management and communication skills
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, adapting materials and teaching strategies as required
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in partnership with staff and families
- Track student progress, document outcomes, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
- Provide guidance and resources to ensure students are progressing academically and socially
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
