What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized instruction in self-contained or collaborative settings
- Develop and implement IEPs aligned with individual student goals
- Adapt curriculum and strategies for students with a range of disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor progress and maintain compliant documentation
- Help create a supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
Qualifications
- Active Alabama Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain) with appropriate age-group endorsement (PreK–5, K–12, or equivalent)
- Experience in self-contained and/or collaborative special education classrooms preferred
- Strong classroom management, instructional, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
Position Details
Schedule: Full-time (typically 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday)
