The Role
Position: Elementary Special Education Teacher – Life Skills Program
Caseload: K–5 life skills special education classroom
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Dates: ASAP start through 5/10/2027
License: Active Montana (MT) SPED license required
You’ll create a structured, supportive environment focused on practical life skills, functional academics, communication, and independence. Small-group instruction, progress monitoring, IEP implementation, and collaboration with paras, related services, and families are all part of the day.
Ideal Candidate
- Valid Montana Special Education teaching license
- Experience or strong interest in life skills / functional programming preferred
- Patient, organized, and energized by helping students gain everyday skills
- Strong classroom management and a collaborative mindset
