Special Education Teacher in Great Falls, MT

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Montana Special Educator Certification required
- Previous experience working in resource room or inclusive educational settings, preferred
- Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for middle and high school students, primarily within a resource room setting
- Develop, implement, and track IEP goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Utilize research-based instructional strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Engage in regular communication with parents and educational staff to monitor progress
- Support a small group of students with higher-level needs, aided by assigned one-to-one paraprofessionals
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal special education regulations
