Special Education Teacher | Conifer, Colorado
Make an impact in the lives of children by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher on a part-time basis in a vibrant elementary school community. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll collaborate closely with general education staff, specialists, and families to create a positive, encouraging environment designed for student success. Your mornings will be filled with meaningful, hands-on instruction, running Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- State Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience tailoring instruction to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Collaborative, adaptable, and student-focused approach
- Previous experience in an elementary setting preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet each student’s unique needs
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture
- Communicate regularly with staff, specialists, and parents
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as scheduled
