Special Education Teacher | Cranston, Rhode Island

You'll have the chance to guide and support elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities in a nurturing, onsite classroom setting. With three openings available, you'll join a dedicated community focused on fostering growth and learning for every child.
Work closely with small groups—each classroom includes 8 to 12 students—allowing for individualized attention and tailored instructional strategies. As part of a compassionate team, your expertise will spark progress and cultivate confidence in your students each day.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain before start)
- Proven experience or coursework with elementary-aged children, especially those diagnosed with Autism or developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and adaptive curriculum
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to create supportive, engaging learning environments onsite
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, adapt, and deliver instructional plans addressing individual student needs and IEP goals
- Implement evidence-based strategies for students with Autism and related disabilities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to develop the most effective approaches
- Maintain regular communication with families, updating on student progress
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Interviews will be held in person on Wednesdays between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
